Heart Of Dryness - Synopsis

An homage to the First People, and a celebration of the life of the great matriarch who stood up to the modern Botswana government, Qoroxloo, as told in the book, 'Heart of Dryness' by James G Workman.

The narrative begins in Bushmen mythology and folk tales, and transitions into a modern day telling of the government's attempts at forcibly relocating them to a settlement outside of the Central Kalahari Park.

Original music by Pops Mohamed, South Africa's "Minister of Music", who has devoted his professional life to the protection and preservation of the ancient musical instruments and traditions of the Bushmen people.
